Come summer, and colours burst forth everywhere in nature. The warmth of the sun, the fresh air, the squeaky clean blue skies, beautiful blooms and bright birds – summer is the season of life. We brought together two illustrious artists from India to celebrate the balmy days. ANJU JAIN, design head of Exquisite Fine Jewellery, Jaipur, loves to splash her jewels with various summery shaded gemstones, and award-winning fashion designer ANIKET SATAM matches her step for step to create a sensory feast.

Complete the semi-formal look with an oriental lotus print blouse in blush peach teamed with a structured black pencil skirt. The look is modern, smart and sophisticated, and easily takes you from board room meetings to an evening soiree.
The rustle of dried golden leaves, the warmth of the melting sun… the setting is perfect to don the maple-shaped 18-karat textured gold earrings highlighted with fancy colour diamond veins. The fiery tourmaline yellow gold ring has a hand-textured surface and is dotted with fancy colour diamonds. It is teamed with is a striking cuff with a flame-like pattern, and enhanced by a vintage central motif with multi- tourmaline ovals accented with diamonds in black rhodium. The fiery draped kaftan maxi is all set in melting sunset tones offset with bold digital designs of falling autumn leaves. The bare shoulders complement the dripping gold leaf earrings.
A Clique of Colours
These glossy ear studs in 18-karat gold marry different colour palettes of abstract-cut sapphires all hugging to form egg-shaped blobs sprinkled with diamonds and tsavorites. The ring is conceptualised with flat-cut multicoloured sapphires and the sensuous, fluid necklace is a hotbed of colours. Diamonds are garnished on its surface cobbled with multi-coloured sapphires. The candyfloss gown with an elaborate, draped bust- detailing emphasises the jewels in a dramatic manner.
A Squeeze of Orange
Open hoops lined with flat-cut burnt amber colour sapphires get a lining of diamonds on the inner edge heightened with a black rhodium finish. The two rings set with natural sapphires are accented with diamonds. A crescent-shaped modern pendant complements the hoops. The three-row bracelet is a carpet of multi-coloured tourmalines crafted in a flexible setting to pep up the look. Add to that the little cocktail dress bathed in the shimmering sea of copper sequins. The bold jewel-toned bust detailing provides the cluster of gems an unmatched sparkle.
It takes a powdery coloured turquoise to draw out the beauty of the gold arabesque necklace inspired by blooming lotuses with intricate details. The cushion-shaped Arizona turquoise earrings are accentuated with blackened rhodium and surrounded by an open framework of gold bordered with diamonds. The circular cabochon ring speaks the same design language of the earrings. Pair the jewels with an oxblood shaded dress. The dramatic colour blocking makes the wearer shine through any occasion.
Honey-toned shades woven in links, up the fashion ante and give a touch of instant allure. The chain, worn as a bracelet, is generously set with large rutilated quartz flats. The double-pendant ear drops, also set with rutilated quartz cabochons are framed with rows of pave-set diamonds, and the 18-karat gold quartz ring matches the ensemble tone for tone. The amber-inspired stones narrate the urban tribal aesthetic. Unveil the wild side by sporting a high-slit gown in a muted earthy palette with a hint of animal skin details bringing together jewels and fashion in a flattering combination!
