A major player in watchmaking history, Jaeger-LeCoultre celebrated 180 years of continuous development at Harrods with leading experts from the brand who specialise in rare crafts and fine watchmaking. Saif Ali Khan joined the celebration stating, “It gives me great pleasure to be a part of this incredible milestone for Jaeger-LeCoultre and to see a piece of the temple of watchmaking right here in London.”


Gehna Jewellery lent its support to the 8th annual ‘Caring with Style’ fashion show in association with the Cancer Patients aid association in Mumbai. Style icons from the film fraternity, prominent industrialists and achievers from different walks of life, including juhi Chawla, Asha Parekh, Rukshana Eisa, Shweta Kawatra, Arti Surendranath, Shriya Saran, Madhoo Shah, Geeta Basra, Mansi and Mohit Roy attended the event. Tanaaz Irani, Nauheed Cyrusi, Tara Sharma, Waheeda Rehman and Shaheen Abbas among others sashayed down the ramp in Shaina NC and Gehna creations. The show was also marked by high voltage performances by Sajid-Wajid, Mohit, Shilpa Rao and Meiyang Chang. Thanks to the overwhelming response, the show garnered immeasurable support for children suffering from cancer.


The biggest names in the sport of polo were in action on the Queen’s Ground at Guards Polo Club, Windsor Great Park in a bid to win the Cartier Queen’s Cup 2013 on June 16. Zacara and El Remanso played the exhilarating final match, with the former winning the Queen’s Cup. The high-profile match was watched by the Queen of England, Arnaud M. Bamberger, executive chairman, Cartier Ltd, and Laurent Feniou, managing director of Cartier Ltd, alongside a strong crowd of polo aficionados. To mirror the impressive talent on the field, Cartier invited guests from the worlds of stage, screen, sport, society and literature into the Cartier enclosure. Sharon Stone, Charlotte Casiraghi, Katherine Jenkins, Thandie Newton and Princess Beatrice of York also attended the event.


Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz, Monegasque royalty and a clutch of racing legends helped TAG Heuer celebrate its ongoing partnership with the Automobile Club de Monaco and the Monaco Grand Prix at the 71st running of motor-sport’s most glamorous race. Cameron Diaz sported the Monaco ACM chronograph – the newest edition in the iconic watch series first launched in 1969, and worn by Steve McQueen’s character in the movie Le Mans (1971), while DiCaprio wore his favourite – the high-tech, super-chic and extreme shock-protected TAG Heuer Monaco 24 at the event.


Franck Dardenne, general manager of TAG Heuer India unveiled the latest collection of the Swiss brand at Popley La Clasique, Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. The collection represents a step forward in design for the Swiss master of materials. The new TAG Heuer collection offers a choice of cool, classy and collectable watches – each an individual style statement. At the launch, Rajiv Popley, director, Popley & Sons commented, “We at Popley’s are glad to be a part of the TAG Heuer brand which has always been consistent in presenting alluring designs.”


Ganjam, the legendary indian jewellery brand, played host to royalty at the Ganjam Jaipur trophy 2013 in London. The event was a warm tribute to the late rajmata Gayatri Devi who initiated this tournament about four decades ago, in memory of her husband. The lush green lawns of the Duke’s ground in Windsor Great Park hosted members of aristocracy, the royal family, renowned celebrities and famous socialites. The Polo match, which was the first event of the day, was played between Sifani/Shakib Polo and Black Eagles. Lady Annabel Lindsay and Dushyanth Ganjam awarded the trophy to the Black Eagles. The guests were seen admiring Ganjam’s new collection Song of Sea, which was on display at the Club House along with the jeweller’s other collections. A white gold collection inspired from the mesmerising beauty of the sea, the line features radiant diamonds, iridescent blue sapphires and the rarest of rare tanzanites.


High-end jeweller de Grisogono celebrated its 20th anniversary with a magical soiree at its Eden Roc annual party during the Cannes film festival, titled ‘Seduction in Cannes’. Owner Fawaz Gruosi presented 20 creations which epitomise the essence of de Grisogono. Hotel du Cap’s walkway was transformed into a catwalk and models waltzed down in de Grisogono’s 20th anniversary Collection of High jewellery. Sharon Stone, Paris Hilton, Adriana Karembeu, Alessandra Ambrosio attended the party sporting de Grisogono creations. Alec and Hilaria Baldwin, Bianca Balti, Eva Cavalli, Denise Rich, Clotilde Courau, Goldie Hawn, Chris Brown, Elie & Claudine Saab, Stacy Keibler and Karmen Pedaru were among the many celebrities spotted at the party.



Recently, Tara Jewellers launched six new stores in Bhatinda, Jalandhar, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ludhiana and Udaipur, notching up a total of 36 stores in 25 cities across the country. Vikram Raizada, executive director and CEO – retail, Tara Jewellers, said, “We are expanding both in width of presence and depth of penetration in tier I, II and III cities. An award-winning designer, Sonal fuses the old with the new to cater to the women of today. The tastefully done up boutique was lined with bold and classy pieces made of gold, gem-set and enamelled jewellery – all painstakingly crafted to perfection.


Roses have played a recurrent role in the life of Yves Piaget and have become iconic blooms for the famous Maison. In tribute to the Yves Piaget rose and to the jewellery collection it inspires, Piaget celebrated its first Piaget Rose Day in the Ephemeral Orangerie of the Jardin des Tuileries in Paris amid a dazzling and entrancing fairytale rose-themed setting. Melody Gardot treated the audience to a private 45-minute concert beneath a star-studded sky which was followed by a rose-themed cocktail buffet. Piaget CEO Philippe Leopold-Metzger and Yves Piaget mingled with stellar personalities including Bar Refaeli, Renaud Capucon and his wife Laurence Ferrari, Audrey Dana, Anne Parillaud, Frederic Diefenthal, Gwendoline Hamon, Ariel Wizman, Vanille Clerc, Annabelle Belmondo, Olivier Perruchot, Axelle Laffont and Julie De Bona.
